This is a port of the sub-Salsa template by Scott Stubblefield, originally for phpBB. Some alterations had to be made to the template for Phorum, including removing the background graphic from the post cells. We may eventually port the other “sub” templates, but no plans to do that immediately.

Of all the templates we have done for Phorum, this one is my favorite. The red and black really worked well and the background compliments it nicely.
We wanted to create a dark version of the standard Emerald template, thus the name Onyx. I am really amazed how sharp this turned out. Definitely a good base for someone to work off of if they wanted to do a dark-theme for their forum. Note the hover color is yellow. We tried a lot of different colors, but this one really struck us as being the best. It can easily be changed to something else through the CSS.
This is a funky-looking template, I admit. However, I happen to like it a lot. I wanted to do something with the same color scheme as the Scriptmonkeys website. Plus, it gave me an excuse to play with the background creator at Pattern Cooler. Have you seen that site? It’s an awesome resource for designers, as well as those who just love cool tech stuff.
This is a variation of the classic Emerald template which comes as the default with Phorum. This version puts borders around the posts and sections, plus allows background coloring of alternating cells.
In that past, I have looked all over for a good “coffee-theme” template. There are a couple out there that are nice, but not quite what I wanted. So, when we were developing Phorum templates, I made sure to put “coffee” on the list. I am really happy how this turned out and thankful for the bankgrounds from Background Labs. Comes with a header graphic that can be customized to add your site title.
This is an alternate version of the Alien Wrench template. Forum title is up in the header graphic, not displayed in the typical Phorum fashion under the header.
This template was inspired by the layout of a popular webcomic-listing-site’s forum. Since one of our side projects is a pixelated webcomic called Bitmap World, we wanted to do a template that would showcase that. The long left sidebar allows for easy integration into a bigger site and optimal site navigation.
Unfortunately, between work and projects, we don’t have time to play Warcraft. However, we have many friends and family that do. This template was designed with my sister and her husband in mind.
This theme comes with several different WoW headers which can be customized with your site name. You can view the other headers (and download them separately) from my art blog HERE.
When I first found this template, I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, we don’t use vBulletin…nor did/do I have a website that the design would have fit into. When we decided to develop a bunch of templates for Phorum, I decided to use this as our first testrun. It turned out quite nice. And I still think it’s an awesome template.
