Where Am I?

One of the more complicated and confusing parts of installing scripts is properly determining the path of the directory in which the script will reside. A server path is much different than a URL, and it’s vital for most programs to have this information in order to run. This simple script was written to help.

Literally, this script prints out one line with the information you need. An example of the actual print-out:

current dir is /root/username/public_html/cgi-bin/

Short and sweet, and very useful.

==============================

2 Versions:

PHP Version - DOWNLOAD HERE
Directions: Drop it in the directory you’ll be installing your script, load the script in your browser and you will see the path to the directory.

CGI Version - DOWNLOAD HERE
Direction: Drop it in the directory you’ll be installing the script, CHMOD to 755, then run. It will instantly give you the proper server path.

Note: For security reasons, you should remove the script from your directory when you are done using it. At the very least rename it to something that cannot be easily guessed.
